2000 saw the some ROW (Rest Of the World) exclusives, which are detailed in the listings.
The US range was of 100 models all featuring Matchbox 2000 logos on the first 10,000, and the ROW range were only 75 models, and not included in the 10,000 logo hunt. Out of these 75, 13 were available in all ROW countries, but 10 (MB11-15 and MB36-40) were even more exclusive, in that the UK, Australia, and Germany had their own set of 10 exclusives, and all other ROW countries had another set of 10 exclusives (there was some mixing up of which exclusives turned up where).
However, the other ROW exclusives MB36-40 never appeared anywhere. So many were able to get a set of 10 UK exclusives, 10 German exclusives, Australian exclusives but only 5 other ROW country exclusives. It is still unknown to this day whether MB36-40 for other ROW markets were ever produced or what they were.
MB68 was to have been an Opel/Vauxhall Calibra, but before production started the mold broke. Mattel quickly substituted a new model in it’s place, a 1999 Ford Mustang Hardtop, although in their haste to do this, completely forgot to paint the roof, making it look quite unusual.
