| Number in blue square. The first superfast boxes were a continuation of the ‘Regular wheel’ ‘F’ type box. The first still depicted models with regular wheels ans ‘superfast’ printed in red on the box. Some model pictures were changed to superfast wheels, these had ‘superfast’ printed on the box in black. |

| Matchbox banner, now a slanted typeface and superfast incorporated at the top with the model number in a blue box in the corner. More background was generally added to the model picture . |
| Type H – Matchbox with wheel (1971) |

| Matchbox banner with a wheel at the end. Model number and description in black to lower left side of box. This type was only produced for a short while and not many models used this style. |
| Type I – Matchbox without wheel (1972-1974) |

| Matchbox without wheel, similar to type ‘H’ with the wheel removed. Model description moved up and positioned below ‘Matchbox’ banner. |
